Special Plate
Dilliner Hutte GTS, part of the ARCELOR Group,
is the leading manufacturer of heavy plate for a range of
applications including bridge design, refineries offshore
drilling rigs and high rise.
The plate is manufactured in
conformity to EN10029, ASTM A6, ASTM A20, ISO 7452 and a number of other widely accepted
standards, with surface quality to EN10163. More stringent
tolerances/standards can be agreed upon.

Steels for steel construction
– Unalloyed, normalized/normalizing rolled fine-grained and thermo-mechanically
rolled fine-grained structural steels; weather-resistant
steels and fine-grained structural steels (quenched and tempered).
Steels for shipbuilding – To a wide range of classifications including
American Bureau of Shipping, Bureau Veritas, Det Norske
Veritas, Germanischer Lloyd, Lloyd’s Register of Shipping,
thermo-mechanically rolled shipbuilding steels and fine-grained
strucutral steels (quenched and tempered).
Steels for pressure vessel construction – EN10207 Steels for simple pressure
vessels, EN 10028-2 unalloyed and alloyed high-temperature steels; fine grained
steels, normalized and ni-alloyed low-temperature steel.
Steels for case-hardening, quenching and tempering – Unalloyed and
alloyed steels, for quenching and tempering; alloyed steels for
case-hardening, quenching and tempering.
Steels for cold forming – Steel for cold forming, thermo-mechanically rolled; normalised or normalising rolled.
Steels for offshore constructions – Normalised, thermo-mechanically rolled; to EN10225. quenched and tempered
Steels for pipeline construction – Steels for welded larger diameter pipelines EN 10208-1, -2 and API Spec 5L

Dillinger Hutte offers fabrication services such as high accuracy heavy plate (thermal cutting and grinding), welding of shell sections and hot/cold forming.
Longitudinally profiled plates – for structures with locally varying load exposure, such as bridge girders.
Cut to length flange plates – tailor made flange plates, which reduces fabrication costs and scrap wastage.
Roll-bonding clad plate – dual or triple laminate steel with a wear-proof/corrosion-proof surface layer.
Surface treatments are available upon request. The plate is shot blasted to SA 2.5 per
ISO 8501 with zinc dust/iron oxide epoxy primer or ethyl silicate primer.

sample analysis and inspection certificates to EN10204, as well as customer’s specifications.
